drawing has been leaving me strangely unfulfilled lately and I have no idea why. I don't really feel like drawing so much anymore, but it's a part of me and I don't wanna lose that hobby. does anyone have any suggestions to keep me interested for a while?

ok, for all of you guys who don't know...I've never had a boyfriend (scratch that, I've never even had a guy show interest in me before). I've always wanted a boyfriend (lordy, I was so lonely, haha). SO. that is why I'm really excited about this. IT'S MY FIRST DATE <3 lol.

well, it's not a fancy "out to dinner" date. James lives about an hour away, so I'm sure he doesn't want to stay out too late. so we're going mini-golfing around noon tomorrow~ omg, I'm really excited about this you guys...

Well, first off, I haven't been updating recently, so here's a little background on the oncoming story. I met this guy (James) on the internet. I met him in mid July and we email each other at least once a week (it's all we can squeeze in due to school and everything). We started getting along really well and I grew really fond of him, but I wasn't sure if he felt the same way.

James is 21 and he's an English major at CSU Stanislaus. He's also a drummer in a band called "Jolly Kryger." Well, his band was going to have their first public show at a coffee house called The Queen Bean. Admission was free (yeah right, you had to make a purchase from the coffee house before you could walk over to the stage area.), so I decided to suck up my nervousness and tell him that I would be there. For moral support, and per Dad's request, I invited a couple of friends to join me on my trip to Modesto. My friends Elysia and Lizzy were glad to come (though I never told Elysia the time, and I never told Lizzy why, haha).

Some of you may know that I tend to get lost very easily. We were already running late, and we missed an exit (my fault! and the lady who wouldn't let me merge's fault). I texted James saying that it was very likely that we would be late, it was 7:20pm or so and his show was supposed to start at 7:30pm. He texted back saying that they had an opener so Jolly Kryger would be playing at 8:00pm instead! I was excited because I wasn't going to miss his show (we were already almost done with the directions on the Mapquest map). Well, we make it and we see a sign saying that a purchase must be made before you enter. We were like "ok, but does it have to be coffee?" So we got in line in the coffee shop and I texted James that we were inside. He came in shortly after to greet us and to see if he could get us in for free. He walked up to the security guard and said that we were family (specifically, I was his "sister" and Lizzy and Elysia were his "cousins" haha). But to no avail (nice try, though, James!). We just bought a couple water bottles, an orange juice, and a cookie.

The opener was alright, but Jolly Kryger was amazing! They began by playing a couple of audio clips from The Dark Knight with the Joker saying something like "Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. We are tonight's entertainment!" I think, I can't really remember what it said. James was disappointed that people were talking throughout the whole intro, but they all did great! After the show, he came over and his shirt was drenched in sweat. Which makes sense, he was really into the songs. He gave me the play list

After the show, he suggested that we go to dinner or something. So we waited for him to finish loading his drums into his car and pull around so we could follow him to Denny's. He dropped us off at the parking lot and we waited for him to take his drums back home and change. It was about 11pm when he finally showed up again, haha. We got a booth and Lizzy and Elysia sat on one side while James and I sat on the other. We had a little dinner and stayed there talking til nearly 2am! I was disappointed that we had to leave. Anyway, James sat on one end of the bench and I was at the other at the beginning (there was a sizable gap between us), and by the time we decided to leave, we were leg-to-leg and elbow-to-elbow, haha. I hadn't moved at all, so either he scooted over on purpose or it was a result of his fidgeting. Considering that he most likely noticed that he was so close and didn't do anything about it, I think it was on purpose, hehe. I felt bad that he paid for everyone's food, though. Oh well. That's just guys for you, haha.

On the way home (well, we missed another exit, haha) Lizzy and Elysia told me that he looked like he was really into me. I guess I failed to notice that for the most part, haha (except the sitting so close part). I was so excited that I couldn't fall asleep (we got home around 3am). And then I woke up at 8am and remembered the night and I couldn't fall back asleep again haha. So I'm writing this

But yeah, all in all, I had a great time and I would like LOVE to do it again!

so, yeah, my aunt died this morning. she had part of her intestine removed around midnight and something (gastric stuff) ended up killing her (I think. also a combo of a terrible lifestyle and double pneumonia). so...if anything, don't pray for me, but pray for my mom and her family. I didn't really know her all that well (like most of my mom's family), so the only way that this upsets me is because it upsets my mom. and apparently my other aunt and one of my uncles completely broke down (after all, their dad died in late may). so, yeah, just pray for my mom and her family.

ok. school. SO STRESSFUL. and it's only my second day. PE seems really easy, and I have a friend and a fun teacher in speech. so those classes aren't so bad (yet). today I had geology (I'm kinda iffy about my teacher) and japanese. japanese seems easy enough, but I have to drive like FOREVER to commute to the campus. and then I need to walk to the back of said campus (which is FREAKIN' HUGE) and then up some stairs. my legs feel like jello D: TOO MUCH WALKING TODAY HAHA. wow, it doesn't sound so stressful when I say that my classes seem fairly easy. but it really is stressful.

I got a new phone~ a purple lg lotus~ and she has internet~ (yes, a "she." her name is vivi, and she's a bitch C: )

what's with all the bad news lately?

my mom just called saying that my aunt is very sick and is in the hospital. my cousin "big" (a nickname he earned when I was little) was told that she might not make it. my parents are going to go to the hospital tomorrow morning.

I mean, c'mon! my grandpa died not even three months ago! this is ridiculous...
